Time, Still in Color — Personal Project
The idea behind this look was to bring different older individuals into the same visual universe.
Creating a softer yet well-defined contrast between light and shadow became a restrained way to echo day and night, reinforcing the passage of time without leaning into heavy drama, while still preserving detail and presence in the shadows.
I also chose to avoid low saturation as a tool for intensity. The strength comes from the meeting between still-vibrant colors and a life shaped by time, moving away from any sense of the characters fading away.
There is life experience, but above all, there is life still pulsing. Because aging is not about being pushed aside by time, it is about continuing to live with the same vibrancy that color brings to life.
A ideia com esse look foi aproximar diferentes pessoas mais velhas dentro do mesmo universo visual.
Trazer um contraste mais suave, porém bem demarcado, entre a luz e a sombra é uma forma contida de fazer analogia ao dia e à noite, reforçando a passagem do tempo, sem exagerar na carga dramática e preservando detalhe e presença também nas sombras.
Também busquei evitar uma saturação baixa como recurso de intensidade pra dramatização. A força vem do encontro entre cores ainda vibrantes e a experiência marcada pelo tempo, afastando qualquer sensação de apagamento dos personagens.
Existe história de vida, mas existe, sobretudo, vida pulsando. Porque envelhecer não é ser escanteado pelo tempo, é continuar vivendo com a mesma vibração das cores que a vida tem a oferecer.
